Argyll is offering fans of the Datsun 240Z the chance to track the iconic ‘Z cars’ online as they drive from Land’s End to John O’Groats for charity. The event, organised by The Classic Z Register, in aid of the RSPCA and Scottish SPCA is being held in association with Nissan and is supported by the GTR Owners Club, celebrates 40 years of the Z Series, which was first launched in October 1969 in Tokyo.

Argyll is providing the drivers with discreet personal safety devices incorporating Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) location technology necessary to track the route. Argyll claim to be the UK’s market leader in lone worker and vulnerable person monitoring  and is assisting the event in order to demonstrate their technology. Fans are able to send words of encouragement to the drivers and provide additional financial support to the chosen charity, RSPCA.

The drivers will start in Penzance on the 20th September and will take 7 days to reach their destination of John O’Groats. On the way the team will pass through many different areas including Aberystwyth, Fort William, and  Dunoon.
