HSE announces appointment of new Director in Scotland

Dr Paul Stollard has now taken up post as the new Director for the Health and Safety Executive in Scotland.
Dr Stollard is an architect and fire engineer, and was appointed to the post following an open recruitment competition.
He has worked in the safety industry for the last twenty-five years, the last four of which he was Chief Executive of the Scottish Building Standards Agency based in Livingston. He oversaw the reform of the building standards system in Scotland introducing the new Building (Scotland) Act in 2003 and the revised Technical Handbooks in 2005.
